Rule of Law situation in the EU and application of the conditionality regulation
In a debate at 15.00, MEPs will quiz the Council and the Commission on the application of the new rule of law conditionality rules to protect the EU budget that entered into force on 1 January 2021. The draft resolution to be put to the vote on Thursday tasks the Parliament to start preparing to take the Commission to court for failure to act, since the risk of misusing EU funds has been growing in some member states and the situation of rule of law has been deteriorating.

Starting at 9.00, plenary will assess with Presidents Michel and von der Leyen the outcome of the latest European Council extraordinary meeting in May, as well as the preparations for the G7 and EU-US summits taking place next week.

Gender equality and online harassment of female politicians. MEPs will discuss with Commissioner Dalli measures to help promote the participation of women and girls in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics sectors (STEM). They will also look into the online abuse faced by women in politics. A resolution on STEM will be put to the vote on Thursday.
The 80th Anniversary of 14-18 June 1941 Mass Deportations. Perpetrated by the Soviet authorities’ army eighty years ago, the mass deportations of tens of thousands of persons from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland to Siberia will be the focus of a plenary debate in the afternoon.

Results of Tuesday’s second voting session will be announced at 9.00, on the provisional agreement on the EU digital COVID certificate, the biodiversity strategy, EU competition policy in 2020, and the gender dimension in cohesion policy.
The first voting session will take place between 12.45 and 14.00, with results announced at 19.00. MEPs will vote, among others, on amendments to the resolutions about:
the Czech Prime Minister’s conflict of interest,
the effects of a possible patent waiver on COVID-19 vaccines.
The second voting session will take place between 20.00 and 21.15. MEPs will cast their final vote on
the resolution on the Czech Prime Minister’s conflict of interest,
the effects of a possible patent waiver on COVID-19 vaccines, and
the reform of the European Ombudsman statute.
They will also vote on amendments to several resolutions about:
the rule of law situation in the EU and the application of the conditionality regulation,
the ongoing assessment of national recovery plans, and
the EU's Cybersecurity Strategy.
The results will be announced in plenary on Wednesday morning at 9.00.

EU Digital COVID Certificate
The results of the vote on the new tool to facilitate travel in the EU and contribute to the post-pandemic recovery will be announced at the opening of the session, at 9.00. After Parliament’s green light, the text will need to be formally adopted by the Council, signed into law and published in the EU’s Official Journal. It will apply from 1 July.
