President Sassoli opened the first plenary session after the summer recess in Strasbourg.

The Conference of Presidents decided that on 27 January 2022, and every year on that date, there will be an extraordinary sitting in honour of the victims of the Holocaust, said President Sassoli.

Changes to the agenda

Monday

The request for urgent procedure (under rule 163) on the Extension of validity of safety certificates and licences of railway undertakings operating in the Channel tunnel will be put to the vote on Monday.

Requests by committees to start negotiations with Council and Commission

Decisions by committees to enter into inter-institutional negotiations (Rule 72) are published on the plenary website.

If no request for a vote in Parliament on the decision to enter into negotiations is made by Tuesday 12.00 midnight, the committees may start negotiations.
