Call for a revision of the EU Treaties


In a debate at 9.00, MEPs will discuss with Commission Vice-President Šuica and the French Presidency their proposals for a first set of EU treaty changes, responding to the expressed desire for updates during the Conference on the Future of Europe. They will vote on a resolution at noon.


Poland: vote on the potential approval of the national recovery plan


Following Tuesday’s plenary debate with Commission President von der Leyen and the French Presidency, MEPs are expected to adopt a resolution against the release of €35.4 billion in recovery funds to Poland as long as threats to the rule of law there persist.

No products made by forced labour in the European market


In a debate and a subsequent plenary resolution, MEPs are set to call for an import ban on products made with forced labour. They will quiz the Commission on a new trade instrument to enforce this that is expected in September.

Illegal logging


In the afternoon, plenary will consider the issue of illegal logging, and the associated problems of economic loss and deforestation. MEPs will take in the views of the Commission, ahead of a vote on a related resolution during the 23-24 June plenary session.

Votes

There will be a voting session, from 12.00 to 14.00. MEPs will vote, among others, on:

  • a new international procurement instrument;
  • global threats to abortion rights;
  • the EP’s right of initiative, and
  • the human rights and democracy situation in China, Georgia and Nicaragua.
