Parliament approved on Thursday almost €20 million in EU job-seeking aid for workers recently made redundant in France and Greece.

EU aid worth €17.7 million has been approved to support 1,580 workers from Air France and two of its subsidiaries in 16 French regions, who lost their jobs because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The draft report by rapporteur Fabienne Keller (RENEW, FR) recommending that Parliament approve the aid was passed by 564 votes, 18 against and 16 abstentions.
