On Wednesday 14 December, the co-rapporteurs on the inclusion of REPowerEU chapters in recovery and resilience plans will hold a press conference at 10.30.

Leading MEPs from the Budget and the Economic and Monetary Affairs committees Siegfried MUREŞAN (EPP, RO), Eider GARDIAZABAL RUBIAL (S&D, ES) and Dragoș PÎSLARU (Renew, RO) will present the outcome of the negotiations with the Council Presidency and answer journalists’ questions.

The four rapporteurs for opinion have also been invited to give a short introductory statement:

Peter LIESE (EPP, DE) for the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety,

Dan NICA (S&D, RO) for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy,

Pascal ARIMONT (EPP, BE) for the Committee on Regional Development, and

    In May 2022, the Commission put forward a proposal to make the Recovery and Resilience Facility the main funding vehicle of the RePowerEU plan (the “REPowerEU amendment proposal”) including measures to save energy, produce clean energy and diversify energy supplies.

    Leading MEPs from the Budget and the Economic and Monetary Affairs committees Siegfried MUREŞAN (EPP, RO), Eider GARDIAZABAL RUBIAL (S&D, ES) and Dragoș PÎSLARU (Renew, RO) will present the outcome of the negotiations with the Council Presidency and answer journalists’ questions.
