Volodymyr Zelenskyy to address European Parliament
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address MEPs in a formal sitting in Brussels this morning.
This is the first time that President Zelenskyy will come to the European Parliament in person, after addressing MEPs remotely during an extraordinary session on 1 March, shortly after Russia started its war against Ukraine, and on 14 December when Parliament’s 2022 Sakharov Prize was awarded to the brave people of Ukraine.
The formal sitting is scheduled shortly after 10.00.
You can watch the sitting live on Parliament’s webstreaming and on EbS.
Practical information for attending in person:
Journalists intending to come in person to Parliament may only enter via the SPINELLI entrance from Place du Luxembourg.
Those arriving by car must request a place in advance by using the IZIX application (c.f. media alert on Monday 6 February).
Places for the arrivals (SPAAK protocol entrance) and in the press gallery (hemicycle) will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis.
The EP press centre (ground floor SPAAK building) is available for use and to follow the session.
