MEPs will debate from 9.00 to 10.30 with Commissioner Šefčovič and Swedish Minister for EU Affairs, Roswall the legislative proposals recently tabled to reform the EU’s economic governance rule. During the debate, MEPs will outline their priorities concerning this reform, building on the resolution adopted in July 2021.
Parliament will debate the EU’s accession to the Istanbul Convention on preventing violence against women in the afternoon with Commissioner Dalli. MEPs are expected to green light the ratification in a vote on Wednesday.
Situation in Sudan. In the afternoon, MEPs will debate with Commissioner Várhelyi how to avoid an escalation in hostilities that could have far-reaching implications for the East Africa region.
